Discover the territory of Golfo Aranci

Golfo Aranci

The perfect location for your holiday

Golfo Aranci is one of the few towns on the entire island that can boast of being a real seaside town: it has urban development but remains in full contact with the surrounding crystal clear sea.

This feature distinguishes Golfo Aranci from surrounding destinations which cannot boast such a close connection to the sea and to nature. Its strategic position between Olbia and Porto Rotondo, the presence of the maritime station, and the railway station, also help to make Golfo Aranci a wonderful place to enjoy a special holiday.

Cala Moresca

Distance: 4.6 km – 10 mins

The landscape to which we are undoubtedly closest is that of Cala Moresca, a small inlet protected by the surrounding promontory which ends in the valley in a body of water that reflects the colours of the surrounding vegetation. The islet of Figarolo, a symbol of Golfo Aranci, is located right in front of the small beach of Cala Moresca, giving it an even greater sense of protection and calm.

The beaches

Distance – 250m – 3 Min

Golfo Aranci is famous for its five beaches that are an integral part of the town. The most famous beach is the Terza: its fine sand and shallow water make it the ideal choice for families. The fourth and fifth beaches are a few steps from the residences. The beaches each include a free beach and a small serviced area where you can book a sunbed with an umbrella. This is the case with all the beaches in the north-east area: tourists can choose a free or serviced beach. Among others, we note the beautiful beaches of Cala Sassari, Cala Sabina, white beach, and Sos Aranzos; all located a few minutes by car from the residences.

The centre

Distance: 2 Km – 5 Min.

The center of Golfo Aranci, about half an hour’s walk from the residences and a few minutes from the apartment on the third beach, has experienced significant growth in recent years. This is especially thanks to the renovation of the waterfront, including a modern promenade that is perfectly integrated with the surrounding scenery. The main street is closed to traffic in the evening, creating a large pedestrian area which connects the seafront and the large Piazza Cossiga, the site of events throughout summer. Numerous clubs and restaurants offer their services throughout the downtown area, giving tourists a wide range of choices.

Punta Marconi

Distance: 7,7 Km – 2h on foot

The most important point of historical interest is undoubtedly Punta Marconi, on top of the hill at the eastern end of the town. The path leading up to Punta Marconi is in Cala Moresca, at the bottom of the hill. Here it will be possible to visit the former, long since disused, Capo Figari traffic light from which Guglielmo Marconi experimented with radio communication at the Rocca di Papa (Rome) station, and which consequently earned the Italian scientist the recognition of the Nobel prize and a place of honour in the history of this place.
